A tea party original on taking down clays – and Hilary Clinton
(CNN) Skeet shooting was invented in 1920 in Andover, Massachusetts — where I just happened to grow up. But I didn’t try it for the first time until I was well into my 20s. If you ever get the opportunity — go. It’s addictive.
For this episode of “Outside With Insiders,” I took Utah GOP Sen. Mike Lee to the Prince George’s County Trap and Skeet Club in Maryland, just 20 minutes from Capitol Hill, a fantastic facility for beginners and pros.
Lee is a tea party favorite who’s been called everything from a rising star to the wonk of the Republican party. While I knew he could easily rattle off Russell Kirk quotes and recite the Constitution, I really wanted to see if he was a good shot.
And he didn’t disappoint.
